Simple Tips to Keep Fit!

Posted by OrganiCafe on January 13, 2010 at 11:01 AM

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have a great health and stamina while others drag around barely making it from one task to another?

Get moving!

Great health has been described as being able to do the things you need for as long want with the body you have. Exercise is an integral part of keeping your body healthy and functioning.

The power and importance of exercise cannot be overstated. Moving your body and working all the parts is an important part of physical and mental health. With the rising rate or obesity, poor nutrition, marginal healthcare and stress it is critical to take charge of your health in a holistic way on a daily basis.

But you already knew that ...

...The hardest part is getting started and just doing it.

Getting your daily exercise doesn't have to be a chore or hassle. A lot of the dread comes from our own expectations of quick results and the paint that comes from too much too soon. Instead of thinking about bench pressing 200 lbs or running a marathon - why not consider doing something you enjoy instead. Make it play time, family time or even a romantic walk time!

The more you move - the more energy you'll have.

Ironically physical exertion creates energy even while using it.

Regular exercise helps condition your joints muscles organs and lungs to function and a higher level and to build strength and endurance. Even gentle exercise provides great benefit to your body.

Regular exercise helps improve balance, breathing, circulation, digestion, alertness, sex drive and can relieve pain, fatigue, cramps, and stiffness not to mention boredom!

"For people who've been really sedentary, you're getting a benefit almost immediately. Just get off the couch," advised the study's lead author, Dr. Timothy Church, director of the Laboratory of Preventive Medicine Research at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center at Louisiana State University..."It was surprising to us, the idea that as little as 10 to 15 minutes of exercise a day could provide "

Besides helping your body, many people experience mental relief and improved clarity after exercising. This is because more blood is flowing bringing extra oxygen and nutrients to every organ in your body. Our bodies are designed for strenuous activity and actually need it to survive.

That doesn't mean you have to run up 40 flights of stairs a day to survive - but it does indicate that human beings need to work everything in order to keep it working.
